I appreciated the way the author approached the book. He used standard scientific data calculations while providing examples from actual submissions. The words of the real people who had NDE's are so marvelously reassuring of what I already believed based on my religion. This was so helpful to me since my college roommate died recently at too early an age (58). I know she is safe and happy where she is.

As someone whos greatest fear in life is death, this book has brought me some comfort. Though still not 100% convinced, I'd like to believe that all these accounts are true and accurate. I hope there is something better waiting for all of us. Most importantly to me is to have a chance at being reunited with my deceased mother once again.

This book helped me understand what my mother in law was experiencing during her last days in this physical world. Thank you for reassuring us that she is in a beautiful place with family and friends that love her.

About the author

Jeffrey Long, M.D., is a radiation oncologist in Houma, Louisiana, and has appeared on NBC's Today Show, ABC's World News Tonight with Peter Jennings, FOX's The O'Reilly Factor, and The Learning Channel. Long has also served on the board of directors of the International Association for Near-Death Studies and established the nonprofit Near Death Experience Research Foundation and the NDERF website.

Paul Perry is an internationally bestselling author who has co-written nine books on near-death experiences.
