Excellent tangle of a story! Set in several locations in 1988, the protagonists are all working for The Yard. The senior officer is DCI Warwick who is under a superintendent known as The Hawk. Lots of colorful characters on both sides of the law in a tense atmosphere with many deadlines. Superb storytelling that caught me up in its web and wouldn't let go! Love love love anything written by Jeffrey Archer! I believe I have read every single book he has ever written and that includes those that he wrote while he was in jail. every story to me is well written and keeps me intrigued and guessing what will happen next! Kane and Abel series and Clifton Chronicles were wonderful and I wished the stories hadn't ended when I finished the last book of those series. Started with his first book Not A Penny More Not a Penny Less in 1977 and I'll keep reading until the end!!

So far so good, just read the sample and deciding if I should purchase the whole book. 🤔
