The Steel Kiss is an entertaining yet sobering commentary on the increasing role of technology in our lives, and the resulting dependence upon it. The adversary in this book reminds me of the one in The Broken Window (also a good Lincoln Rhyme read). Deaver keeps the excitement flowing while allowing Rhyme, Amelia Sachs, and the rest of the crew to evolve as characters.
