This book is filled with overwhelming sexual scenes that are really unnecessary. Sometimes I even dozed off of the storyline and found myself engulfed in the steaming sexual scenes, I had to ask myself what I was reading several times. Eva, being forced to marry Thomas by his father so they could tighten their ties in politics because Thomas is a future Senator has forced Eva to run away to Alaska where she met this bad boy named Badd. He unleashed many things that were hidden in Eva's minds and he somehow liberated her to be free and don't let anyone shape her future. You Will fall in love with the characters for sure, especially Badd's family. His brothers' girlfriends are to die for and they are really unbelievably hilarious. But, as I have stated above, I would be lying if I said I enjoyed this book. its storylines straight up sucks for me and without erotica it absolutely had nothing to offer.

I was super turned off by the reference to women in politics and using Maxine Waters, Elizabeth Warren and Kamala Harris as examples of good female politicians. I could name several far better than these examples. What's worse is the story line went directly into a Bax ignoring her "no" to his sexual advances. If your going to play politics in your story line. Make sure you don't allow your characters to completely ignore other movements attached to that particular party political agenda (i.e. metoo)

I was kinda disappointed. maybe it's because after reading the first book about bast and dru I had high expectations. this is not a bad book per se but I found it a bit rushed. there was a lot of unnecessary narrating and not enough dialogue. in all honesty I found that Claire overshadowed the heroine because while the heroine was easily forgettable Claire was not.
