Books 1-4 in the Canadian West series has covered Elizabeth's life travelling to Western Canada, teaching school in Lacombe and meeting up with handsome RCMP Wynn. It covers their lives living about the indigenous peoples of the North and their struggles with infertility and loss, and eventually their move at Athabasca which they meet the young Henry and take him into their lives. Book 5 covers the life of Henry as he grows up with Elizabeth and Wynn, becomes involved in Christian living and decides on a life career as an RCMP like his Dad Wynn. It also reveals the longings of his heart - a young woman, Amber, who captured his heart when he had to deliver bad news to her. The longings grow deeper as Henry moves on to other areas of the West, and where he discovers that God is good, all the time. A great read!
