I will be the first to admit, this is not a fantastic piece of literature that will stimulate your mind or make you ponder deep thoughts. But, if you are looking for a page turner that will be an escape from reality then this is your book. I finished it in a day, a single Thursday night! Could not put it down. You'll laugh, you'll cry, and find yourself just wanting to be Gabby's best friend. I love Jane Green, she's one of the best chick lit authors out there. Loved it!

Relatable...typical "Happily Ever After" ending dampened the reality of the situation.

Well written, interesting and nice happily ever after ending.

About the author

A former feature writer for the Daily Express in the UK, Jane Green took a leap of faith when she left, in 1996, to freelance and work on a novel. Seven months later, there was a bidding war for her first book, Straight Talking, the saga of a single career girl looking for the right man.
