This book is a thorough, detailed overview of anatomy and physiology that is relevant for midwifery practice. It is not an easy read, and some concepts will be difficult to grasp if you do not already have a foundation in A&P. As a midwifery student, however, I have found this book a crucial supplement to my other textbooks, as I take classes and prepare to take the board exam at the end of my educational program (NARM in the U.S. and Canada).
