This series, one I used to love, has gone completely down the drain. The last book was circling the drain now this one went right down. It starts out dull and trite and stays that way. As for Cindy early on, you see a guy with a gun pointed at you and you hesitate? Yell FIRE FIRE CALL 911! That'll stop them. Everyone will be looking straight at you and them. Can you make the spaces any bigger to drag it out? Condensed type, the book would have 200 pages. Maxine, if you don't feel the zest for writing these Boxer and pals books anymore then let someone who feels it write it. A former fan. PS Read any Elizabeth George Inspector Lynley book or CB Strike and then compare with this drivel. $14.99? No way.

The story line didn't have enough of the serial killer theme that the Murder Club usually has. It was a typical cop story and the ending lacked umph. The book, overall, was a disappointment.

Too much Molinari involvement in the plot. The essence of the Women's Murder Club was lost in this book. The ending was too abrupt and not well written. This was the first disappointing book of the series.
