This is a super series with credible and likable characters. McCabe and Savage made a formidable team when tracking bad guys. The first part of the book takes the reader along as Zoe is abducted and meets her kidnapper face to face and the consequences it leads to. The second part of the book details how the police go about looking for a random face, a random man no one seems to know. Alternating chapters keep the reader abreast of what Zoe is doing to preserve her life and how she's fighting back. It's an interesting look at police procedures; the suspense kept me turning the pages, long after bedtime. The major twist in the story took me by surprise ... never saw it coming.
