Maybe it gets better but I can't get over the cynicism in the beginning. Being in vet med, I can't get over the vet-bashing and the author thinking he knows everything.

This book really struck a chord with me and I read it in a few days. I had a 17 year old cat who just passed last month, and it hit me hard, as he was closer to me than some of my human friends. I think this book really as this book really illustrates the bonds we develop with our pets and the big part our furry friends play in our lives. I look forward to reading the sequel!

I've always been an admirer of cats and so this book was a delight to read. At times it made me cry, at other times I laughed out loud. Can't wait to read the next book in this sequel. My respects to this young man and his climb out of substance abuse.
