I found this to be a great book to go over all needed topics for hunting deer. While you cant read this book and then go bag a deer right away. It outlines everything you need to get started. Something that this book does focus on is making the most of what you get for food. So this book doesn't have a focus on "trophy kills". That is not what I am interested in though. I will be referring to this book for a future hunting trip I am planning.

Where most deer hunting books focus on chasing big bucks, this is a straightforward guide to hunting deer for food. I still go back to it.
