Another enjoyable read from Jack Mars. These “back-stories” about Luke Stone work very well, showing how the Luke Stone in the original stories became the Luke Stone that we know. You can tell that, before the up-to-date books were written, Jack Mars already had Luke’s back story worked out and all of his writing benefits from that. This is an excellent book with a great story line. The only quibble I have is that the action slowed down somewhat in the middle sections. Apart from that, the book was a real page-turner.

Jack Mars does it again! Right out of the gate, Luke Stone and the FBI Special Response Team is thrown into a life and death mission to save an off shore oil rig and its crew. In this novel, Jack Mars deals with the issues of global warming and drilling in protected national lands through the actions of greedy politicians, corporate oil interests and a rogue Russian agent. Another page turner as we travel with Luke and the Special Response team to the Arctic Circle, Rome, Athens, and Beirut in an effort to save the world from destruction!

Jack Mars is a great author and has released another great book that is difficult to put down. I have been following the Luke Stone story since "Any Means Necessary" and these stories are a great escape!
