Ratings and reviews

President Elect comes as the 5th instalment in the Luke Stone series by Jack Mars. This is one fast paced series, and this books doesn't slow down. That said, after reading all of Jack's books this would have to be my least favourite, hence the 4 stars compared to 5 for the remainder of his books. This one has many parallels with the current political climate in the US and Asia, albeit a few minor differences. I won't go into details that could cause spoilers for those thinking of reading this one. Do yourself a favour and read all of the books before this one. Stick with reading the series in order to get a good understanding of the characters as some old favourites re-appear in this book. Overall, a good book, just not Jack's finest. The ending seemed very rushed, but I look forward to see what the next book brings and will be reading it as soon as it hits the eShelves.

I've read many books in the last 50 years and only a few characters really stick out in my mind. Travis McGee, Spencer, Lincoln Rhyme, Myron Bolitar etc. I think Luke Stone might be another that will join them. Highly recommended! Well apparently 41 words is entirely too little to submit so I will ramble on here about why I dislike most peoples reviews. They tell the story. If I wanted the Cliff's Notes version I wouldn't have to read it would I? For that reason I rarely read amateur reviews. Well, that and life is just too very short. TaDa!

I have read the entire series including this book. The way that Jack tied all of this series together is awesome. This book will grip you in the first two chapters and make it almost impossible to put it down. It's a great read. I know that you will enjoy it.
