A story of the cyclical nature of love and fates way of making things work out, although rarely how a person plans. Of being good and kind, and yet realizing that with all decisions there is both a reward and price to pay. A story of finding love for someone without condition of their defects, of letting someone be who they are and accepting that what you want isnt what they may need, and putting their needs above your own. A story of uncommon kindness and of a good soul who gave up his pain and torment to do good for others when not required, even less expected, and when faced by naysayers pushing you to do sometging else. Of trying to make it so the pain you have felt is not crippling to someone else because you interfered and gave them the respect and allowed them their pride when they were at their lowest. Of the choices that were made by others in pain only strengthening the resolve to do what you can do make the situation less painful for those left behind. Of finding yourself and someone else, realizing their pain even though you have no understanding of it or why, and pushing on because you dont have to be loved BY someone to love them.

Wow!!! This book was absolutely amazing! Ward pulls out all the stops in this fast paced, mind boggling, heart racing book that I couldn't put down! Xhex and John are sooooooo HOT! The story was everything I wanted and more! My new favorite BDB book, or at least tied with Bella and Zaddist.

Best series ever it has suspense, romance, horror, humor. I love that it tuches real life issues like child abuse, drug addiction, deppretion. and it talks about support groups for these issues. J.R Ward thank you for your wonderful stories
