Irene Mala nació en Sevilla en 1978. Estudió Bellas Artes y fue tocando varios palos hasta decantarse por la ilustración y la pintura. Le gusta pasear, leer y nunca se olvida de tu cumpleaños. Se mueve entre la tragicomedia y el lado absurdo de la vida. Es autora de diversos libros ilustrados infantiles y para adultos, de entre los que destaca El universo Tim Burton.
