If he succeeds at the Iron Trial and is admitted into the Magisterium, he is sure it can only mean bad things for him. So he tries his best to do his worst - and fails at failing. Now the Magisterium awaits him. It's a place that's both sensational and sinister, with dark ties to his past and a twisty path to his future. The Iron Trial is just the beginning, for the biggest test is still to come . . . From the remarkable imaginations of bestselling authors Holly Black and Cassandra Clare comes a heart-stopping, mind-blowing, pulse-pounding plunge into the magical unknown.

The book was very well written. I couldn't put this book down. The only bad thing was the year wasn't up yet. The 3 warriors were still in their iron year, just because they passed through the gate they should have explained how master Rufus felt after seeing them go onto the gate or have call read his expression. Maybe have a quick conversation with his dad explaining I'm not Madden something of that nature. Other than that this was a great book and I loved it. I'm ready for the second book to come out

I've read all the mortal instrument, clockwork, bane, and tales of sh Academy, and I'm a huge fan. I'm a bit older now compared to when I first started reading her books so I'm not exactly a young adult (I'm 30 now) so it's a bit too easy of a read ... I can't help but compare it to the shadow hunter Academy mini series with a twist. I love the imagery and attention to small details (how the food looks and tastes) once again another fantastic series by her that I'd love to see turned into a PROPER movie/TV!

I give this book a five star rating. I give this rating because the plot is interesting. For example the main character Callum Hunt is exepted into the magestarium amongst three other characters Aaron the makar and orpan, Tamara and Japer his sworn enemy but together they work through challenges from master Rufus and many chaos-ridden.
