About the author

Hollie Hughes is a talented new picture book author. Having three children of her own, she is perfectly tuned into the reading habits and tastes of young children. The Famishing Vanishing Mahoosive Mammoth is Hollie's debut picture book and there'll be lots more to come. Hollie lives in Essex with her family.

Leigh Hodgkinson is the talent behind picture books such as Colin and the Snoozebox (Orchard), Goldilocks and Just the One Bear (Nosy Crow) and Don't Dip Your Chips in Your Drink, Kate (Orchard) to name but a few. She is an award-winning animator who was art director on the BAFTA Award-winning series, Charlie and Lola. Leigh has an amazing eye for colour, design, print and pattern. The Famishing Vanishing Mahoosive Mammoth is her second picture book for Bloomsbury, after Are You Sitting Comfortably?, which she also wrote. She lives in Lewes, near Brighton, with her husband and their two young children.
