Hermann Hesse. Hermann Hesse (1877 1962) ist der weltweit meistgelesene deutschsprachige Autor des 20. Jahrhunderts. Berühmt wurde er durch Prosadichtungen wie "Siddharta" oder "Der Steppenwolf"; auch seine zahlreichen Aphorismen und Gedichtzyklen fanden ein breites Publikum.
