I was so happy to see Simon back and with his own story. Ilsabeth, being Cormac & Elspeth daughter, Highland Vow, seemed the perfect choice for Simon. Loved the plot of treason and intrigue of his family's involvement. Great story

Wonderfully written and totally absorbing. Ms. Howell has mastered the genre and requires the reader to crave the next adventure. Written as stand alone novels, nonetheless, there is an irresistible urge to acquire the next.

Story is very good. It has serious flaws with editing however. Around page 200 it is missing an entire page as well as several paragraph breaks thruout the book. Makes for very confusing reading
