Ben Carson is in a sense, the epitome of what you can do with your life if you apply yourself! Put God first, realize "your" special talents & put them to use. I knew from a very young age I wanted to be in the medical field. I actually wanted to be a Dr. I married young@ 19, had a son, & realized I'd have to put my dreams on hold. I never gave up though! After 2 failed marriages & 2 son's later I fulfilled my dream! I may not have become a Dr but, I did become an RN! While raising my younger son, working 5 days a week, attended school full-time, I made it! Dr. Carson is right. You have to simply realize your God given talent, be willing to put forth the effort & you can achieve your dreams! I know if I could do it, under all the circumstances stacked against me to fail, you can do it too! God bless you Dr Carson, not only for your amazing talent, but your inspiration to so many young people to not only believe in themselves, but believe in God! This is a true story, but the first book I had to read for my 1st college course was this one! It inspired me to make it & I graduated from nursing school aat 43! T.Y. Barb
