About this ebook

DC Comics took a bold step and renumbered the longest-running monthly comic, Action Comics, to #1 for the first time since 1938 as part of the DC Comics-The New 52 event. With this renumbering comes a new creative team featuring comics legend Grant Morrison and fan-favorite artist Rag Morales. While Morrison is no stranger to writing the Superman character, having won three Eisner Award's for his work on All-Star Superman, Action Comics will be something new for both old and new readers and present humanity's first encounters with Superman, before he became one of the World's Greatest Super Heroes. Set a few years in the past, it's a bold new take on a classic hero.

If Hollywood is going to continue making Superman movies , at least give us a very muscular Superman like the comics have. Not 1 movie has had a very muscular Superman, not even " the man of steel " isn't very muscular ! C'mon already ! Give the world the Superman we grew up with.

Storywise is good enough. Generic storyline of Superman. Nothing I've never seen before of him capable of. Quite entertaining if you're a Superman fan. But.. The artwork. I just can't 😴. It is quite vintage style of artwork for me. It's like i'm reading an early 90's of graphic novels. Some of you guys might find it stunning. But it hurts my eyes.. I prefer a modern age style of artwork like David Marquez, Paco Medina, Mahmud Asrar, Harey Tolibao. Jim Lee's style is still relevant to these days but he is not my top favourite. I guess i would be enjoyed it more if i love the drawing style. Great to have it in my collection as a man of steel fan. Rating : 6/10

Art is very engaging, very good. The writing, as far as I can tell, is good; no obvious plot holes. The neo-nazi reference has me worried that continued reading will expose political bias and finger wagging. The moment that's detected, in the trash bin it goes. We get enough propaganda from the news. 😉
