About this ebook

Haley Farrell is taking a chance on herself. After receiving her interior design certificate, she quits her job at the local furniture store and decides to open her own interior decorating business. But with all the advantages of her new career-meeting new people, and decorating new and old homes-comes a huge pitfall. Her new job allows her access into her clients' homes and their lives . . . but also their deaths.

When Haley's mentor, Marge Norwalk, is murdered, Haley becomes the prime suspect. Armed only with the confidence that Marge instilled in her, Haley sets out to find the real murderer. But as she sets forth, she has no idea what twists and turns will bring her face-to-face with her long-hidden past.

Book one in the Deadly Décor Mysteries will keep both Ginny Aiken's established readership and new fans coming back for more.

This book was well written, a great whodunit! Kept me in its grip. I didn't have a clue who the culprit would be until very near the end. Vivid imagery had me feeling like I was right there. Characters were well rounded - I feel I know some of them! I liked the open inclusion of the Christian lifestyles of characters: not sappy, very realistic. I will read more of this author's work. Sadly, the ebook formatting was a little irritating by times as words ran together with no spacing or missing punctuation.

The story is OK but the main character goes about her sleuthing in a really dumb way. Syntax leaves a bit to be desired. However, that may have something to do with English not being the author's first language. The editing is very poor; no spaces between many of the words and missing punctuation.

The writing was juvenile at its best. The author made the main character seem incredibly obtuse. And where the author could have used simpler words to give a meaning, she used words that barely had any relevance. Also for a Christian novel the editor should know when referring to God, the word He should always be capitalized.
