One hears some echo of McDonald in Lewis. Further up and further in! The call has rung out soon. Both men, more than most, knew that to tell something about truth, there must be a tale. And in the end we see but through a clouded mirror here in the shadow lands. If I seem obtuse, it's only a fraction of what you will find in Lilith. And yet, if you are ready to know more about the truth of truth - this tale will lead you into deeper truth. You cannot understand until you do, says the Raven. Read and do so.

George MacDonald (1824–1905) was a Scottish author and poet whose acclaimed fantasy novels—including Phantastes (1858), The Princess and the Goblin (1872), and Lilith (1895)—inspired such writers as C. S. Lewis, E. Nesbit, and Madeleine L’Engle.
