The correct translation of Acts 20:28 is: "shepherd the church of God which he obtained through the blood of his own Son". This is supported by modern translations such as Lexham English Bible, NRSV, NET and Good News Translation. It is also supported by Syriac manuscripts as early as 6th century. Some Greek and Syriac manuscripts changed "church of God" to "church of the Lord" or "church of Christ" because scribes were confused on the meaning of the last clause "the blood of his own" which is an ellipsis (short-form) of "the blood of his own Son". The phrase "his Own" is a term of endearment. Paul used "church of God" in his letters. It is theologically correct since according to 1 Peter 1:17-19 it is the Father who redeemed the church. In 1 Peter 5:2 it says "shepherd the flock of God which is among you". The reading "church of Christ" is based on late Syriac manuscripts dating as late as 13th century.

My very favorite Bible app! I recently bought my first iPhone and this application is not available for iPhone users! I have the actual Bible at home and turn to it often when I feel stuck in my study. PLEASE make this available at least to be read from the Internet while on my iPhone!
