Wow DC! A life spell kills undead? Super original.../sarcasm. Severely over hyped and nearly a chore to finish; Blackest Night is basically DC Comics zombies edition. Over half of this book is just about stalling the invasion (twice) so a huge army of super beings can join the fight and in the end and well..., they didn't really make that much of a difference since it was resolved with less than 20 characters, the main villains undoing, and a single white ring in the end. The only redeeming thing about this story is that you get to see which popular DC villains/heros the Guardians pick as the bearers of the various (copies of) Lantern rings (and even that fell flat rather quickly). In the end, I'm fairly convinced that this series was just used as a quick reset for DC Comics to bring back a huge catalog of characters they had previously killed off. BTW, are there no healing characters in the entire DC Universe? Because based on how this book plays out it's either no or they were all on vacation.

Great read. Can be challenging if you are not familiar with characters beyond the core of prime DC players. Easy to get lost in names both alter ego and civilian.

I am currently having issues reading this book on my TF300. The pages seem to be rendered in circles rather than progressing to the next page. Switching orientations seems to temporarily correct it.
