About the author

 Genina Johnson is a single mother of 3,  Alex, Excell Jr. and Mckenzie , born and raised in Chicago, IL. 

She is a respiratory therapist who is now obtaining her bachelor’s degree in Business Leadership from Ashford University. 

She is the founder and CEO of the Non-profit organization, H.E.A.L Ministry. Genina is also a member of All Nations Worship Assembly, Chicago. She is not only a physical lifesaver, but she is a spiritual lifesaver, helping God's daughters be healed and set free from things that have held them bound. 


A Note From Genina


 My testimony displays the redemption of God and the strong God fearing woman that He made to conquer every trial and tribulation that was bought my way. This book Purpose in my Pain entails the things that I went through as a young child into my adult life. Things that shouldʼve taken me out but drew my closer to Him. Things that will give other women hope that you too will make it! 

That you too have a story and that you too was born with God ordain purpose. Donʼt be shamed of your past because your past prepares you for the future that God has in store for you.
