About this ebook

The New York Times bestselling author “brings back her irresistibly humorous, snarky, action packed, violent and outrageously larger than life dragons” (Smexy Books).

HE SAYS . . .

I, Aidan the Divine, am, well divine. My name was given to me by the Dragon Queen herself! I’m a delight! Cheerful. Charming. And a mighty warrior who is extremely handsome with a very large and well-hidden hoard of gold. I am also royal born, despite the fact that most in my family are horrendous beings that don’t deserve to live. And yet, Branwen the Awful—a low-born, no less—either tells me to shut up or, worse, ignores me completely.

SHE SAYS . . .

I’ll admit, I ignore Aidan the Divine because it annoys him. A lot. But, we have so much to do right now, I can’t worry about why he keeps looking at me like he’s thinking about kissing me. We have our nations to save and no time for such bloody foolishness . . . no matter how good Aidan looks or how long his spiked tail is. Because before this war destroys everything we love, we’ll have to face our enemies together. But if we make it out alive, who knows what the future will hold . . .

**Received ARC from NetGalley for a fair and honest review** Bring the Heat is book 9 in the Dragon Kin series- Aiden the Divine and Branwen (AKA Brannie) the Awful's story. This book can be read as a standalone, however I typically think the books are best read in order. Though the author does a good job of letting you know who each of the characters are, and you see some of their personalities, you don't get as much if you don't read the previous stories. This is the hardest review I've ever done on a book. I love this series and have read every book this author writes and under her other name also. I couldn't wait to read this book, and I was so disappointed in this book. First, if I wouldn't have known that it was a romance book, I would have had no idea until after 50% of the way through the book that it was one. The story jumps around so much that it was hard to know what was going on, and the romance was an after thought. It did not feel like the premise for the book, there was more about the other characters in the story then there were about the H&h. I did enjoy Aiden and Branwen as characters, but again, the story didn't feel like it was about them. I always enjoy the humor in the books, and there is a fair amount of it in this book. The humor and the last 25-30% of the book is why I rated it at 3 stars. The book jumped around less, and it started to close out the story line. I did feel like the ending of the story just stopped which was frustrating also since the story between Aiden and Branwen was so limited. Though this story didn't do much for me, I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Hope this helps! Happy Reading!!!

The conclusion of this long story arc had me laughing (no surprise there) but it also had me tearing up in spots, and more than once, a little shocked (happily so) at the twists and turns. Brany, a staple throughout, finally gets her HEA and like all of those from her clan, she doesn’t go about it the easy way. While this is her story, there is a lot going on, so you get to see lots of your favourites. I loved this story, I love this series, I love it all <3
