Ratings and reviews

Not a bad story. Good plot line, quite well drawn characters. Good writing, with one major exception. And that is the significant issue of inserting 21st century terminology, which is totally inappropriate given the 1928 setting. I need only give two examples. The use of "unpack" as a term meaning to work something out. As in "let's try to unpack this a bit". Another one is the term "combo", used when discussing a blend of ingredients in a recipe. Help! Tearing my hair out here! Maureen H
