Ratings and reviews

Really like the writing, characters, and story line but the plot needs to advance. With the exception of one book, so far in this series, the basic plot is Detective Turner is determined to charge Lacey with the crime. If the plot changed or advanced the books would be much more interesting. I also enjoy her Beachside Bakery, Tuscan Vineyard, and Dubious Witch series.

Lacey seems to be drawing a bit closer to finding her absentee father - and as much as she seems to want to find him, she also seems a bit reluctant A handsome flirt seems intent on exerting himself and utilizing his skills with Lacey. Tom seems busy with everything else but her A time for festival and business mayhem, murder and a bit of personal reflection Humorous mystery and romance

Another really good mystery solved by Lacey. This is a fun series to read. The auctions are interesting with the different themes. The characters are good and Chester, the dog, is adorable. I love the setting of the English coast. There is a little bit of romance but not enough to overshadow the mystery. Really entertaining!
