About this ebook

Hayder's met his mate, there's  just one little problem, she's allergic to cats.

How degrading. Stuck babysitting a woman because his alpha said so. As Pride Beta, he has better things to do with his time, like washing his impressive mane, hunting down thugs for fun, and chasing tail—sometimes his own if his lion is feeling playful.

But his babysitting job takes an unexpected turn when the woman he’s assigned guard duty over turns out to be his mate.

A female threatened by an outside wolf pack.

A woman he wants to call his own.

A mate who doesn’t fall for his charm.

Usually Beta’s leave the roaring to the Pride’s alpha, but in this case given his level of frustration, he might have to make an exception. And if anyone doesn’t like it, they can kiss his furry tail.

Just as entertaining as the first book in the series. Hayder is the pride's Beta Lion that is put on "babysitting" duty when a she wolf's life becomes threatened. Hayder feels he is above this duty but of course when the Alpha gives you an order you must obey. Little did he know the she wolf in question would come in a sexy and frightened package that would have his lion screaming MINE. Arabella is recently widowed and has her entire pack out to catch her in hopes of becoming her new mate. It is not really Arabella they want however but her fortune that came with her husbands death. When her brother suggests she hide with his hometown's Pride and allow them to protect her she really didn't know what to expect, but it wasn't the handsome Hayder that makes her heart beat faster. Hayder is determined to win Arabella over but how can she allow herself to feel for another so soon after losing her mate, even if her mate was a horrible person who beat and tortured her. She can't even take care of herself and her wolf has been MIA for years, beaten into submission by her husband. Plus, how can she be mated to a lion when she is allergic to cats and everytime she is around him she sneezes. The fates must really hate her. Another highly entertaining read that I would recommend to all the love shifter romances.

What’s louder than a beta’s roar? Triumphing over her past and claiming her future. Ok can I say someone needs to teach a few old dogs some new tricks. Seems Hayder might just be the lion for the job. As beta to his pride, he is second in charge of the largest pride in America and you would think his job would not stoop to lowly babysitting. Well, he certainly felt put upon when told that is exactly what his latest job was, protecting the sister of the local wolf pack’s alpha… that is until he met his mate at the end of the barrel of her gun… a gun that went off and almost took him out when she sneezed. Poor Arabella, it appears her allergy to cats has taken a major exception to Hayder. A challenge Hayder will do his best to work around. I suppose I should elaborate on the old dogs comment. It seems the lycan population has decided to go old school and Arabella’s old pack is the worst of the lot. The pack of misogynist jerks think they can force a mating on her and then do away with her in order to claim the pack and her sizable inheritance. If dealing with her old pack were not enough the lycan council has basically put a bounty on her head and made it an all out free for all in claiming her. The only thing standing between her and another life of slavery or death is a very determined lion and his pride. Arabella has had enough of suffering at the hands of her packmates. She was beaten and abused by her dead husband, the alpha of the Northern Lakes Pack and his curs. Even her wolf has abandoned her. She cowers in submission… but slowly as Hayder teaches her to trust again she’ll learn to reclaim her independence and stand tall once again. Perhaps they’ll even coax her wolf from hiding. This is one female alpha that will rise from the ashes of her past and claim a future in spite of it all, including the love of a mate that will stand beside her, not in front of, nor in back of her. When a Beta Roars is as much about the fight within to not only survive but thrive as it is the fight to claim her independence and the love of her new mate. It speaks to Ms. Langlais’ ability to create characters of depth rather than just a bit of romantic comedy and suspense. Don’t get me wrong though because those are the very elements that draw me into these stories and keep me turning the pages. So much so, that I immediately snatched up When an Omega Snaps when I finished this one. *****Reviewed for Xtreme-Delusions*****
