About this ebook

Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair, or dispose of appliances that contain ozone depleting refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques. These regulations were revised in the fall of 2016 to address HFCs, HFOs, revised allowable leak rates, and expanded record keeping guidelines. The ESCO Institute’s EPA Section 608 Certification Program has been revised to incorporate these new regulations.

Now in its second release, the ESCO Institute's EPA Section 608 Preparatory 9th Edition V2 Manual covers the material required to successfully pass the Universal Exam in 32 pages.

read thru this manual twice and took 2 practice tests from the same company esco. failed both times because i was not given a lot of the information i needed to pass just the practice tests. i found another manual for free from another company that has twice as many pages and is so much more detailed and has so much more needed information. it makes this manual from esco feel like someone skimmed through an actuoal book and wrote a panphlet that became this "manual"

I use it for the CFC course that I teach. It works well for students when paired with the instructors' powerpoint presentation and some decent instruction. As a standalone manual it could be more detailed and easier to read, but it still has all the information that the EPA requires for the latest regulations.
