This book is such a sad and great tale. You see a young kit being disowned and continuously shunned by his mother because his jaw has been broken. He makes a seemingly simple promise – to put his Clan before anything else. This promise is the reason everyone Crookedstar ever loved died – including his mate and two of his kits. To make it worse, the surviving kit is Silverstream. I cannot believe how amazing this book is and I cannot simply tell you in words. For StarClan's sake, people, read it! I beg you!

I absolutely love this book! I've read it thrice now and cried every time. How the erins fit so much depth to their characters in unmatched. I felt myself sympathising and grieving with Crookedstar. Over all it was a sad and well written book and I'd recommend it to anyone. 10/10 would buy again.
