About this ebook

The Great Revolt is On!

Europe, 1634. With the example of future Grantsville, U.S.A., a small town thrown back in time by a cosmic accident, a peasant revolt becomes a revolutionary movement. You're from the future. You want the serfs to liberate themselves-but you also know what a bloodbath the French Revolution became. Avoiding that possibility will take all American horse-trading diplomacy you can muster. The stakes: an explosion that could cover half the continent in blood!

Alternate history master Eric Flint and exciting newcomer Virginia DeMarce fire another exciting volley in Flint's engrossing "Grantsville" chronicles.

At the publisher's request, this title is sold without DRM (Digital Rights Management).

"[W]itty, tightly written alternative history."

I know this a group of writers working together to push the story ahead but this book is the weakest I have read in the series. I bought it in a 3 book bundle and so I will probably read the next. If it is not a lot better, I will not read anymore. The lead author likes working with multiple other authors in a common world. I would tell him this book is a terrible example of this style. My 2nd bit of dislike of the work is the constant us Common Sense quotes. If I wanted to re read it I would take it off my bookshelf.

While the two stars would normally indicate that I disliked the book, it wasn't so much that but rather that it was boring with some flashes here and there of interesting things happening and a too large cast of bland characters to follow to keep track of them all.
