This is one of the best books written about cyclists - bicycle owners. Weiss does an excellent job leading newbies and experienced into the world of cycling. You'll only learn the basics of maintaining the machines, but there are plenty of places to learn that. This book will show you where to find yourself in the cycling world. Weiss doesn't spare anyone's feelings in pointing out their eccentricities, but he finds something to appreciate in all of them. His broad experience in this world and unapologetic and vivid writing style makes the manual indispensable. One of these should be welded to every bicycle in the world. Or tied, adhered, something. The book is a must.
