This volume follows the Shazam stories through its most underrated period: the classic story drawn by the incomparable Don Newton. Under his glorious drawing, the Shazam Captain Marvel retains its lighthearted spirit while updating it for contemporary times that the previous modern work of C. C. Beck and his immediate imitators utterly failed to do so. These stories were the cream of the World's Finest series in its giant Dollar comics and are a treat for any old-time fan or newcomer.
