We get injured and the first thing our body does is react. It could result in redness, swelling or bruised, etc. Sometimes we think nothing of it but it actually it is our immune system reacting to start the healing process. Even if it’s painful or uncomfortable inflammation is a necessary response to heal our body. But sometimes things go wrong and inflammation can cause problems. This is an outstanding guide to not only understanding what causes inflammation but how chronic conditions such as asthma and other diseases can cause us problems. But there is so much more such as how to treat inflammation, toxins and food allergies. I was really amazed to learn about how the foods we eat can actually cause inflammation. I loved the overview of the diet as someone who already takes supplements, I always wondered if I was taking too much or not enough. The recipes are fabulously delicious covering everything from soup, salads, meals, snacks and more. I personally couldn’t get enough of this outstanding book. This is truly one to read over and over again before, during and after an injury!

This book is packed with great information. "The Inflammation Diet" will help you to live a life with less pain caused by what you eat. By now we all know that what we eat is vitally important to our health, and if we just put junk in our bodies, the end result will not be good. This book does a great job of dealing with inflammation, and how it is a sign of infection. The great thing about this book is it outlines what foods that cause inflammation to avoid, and what foods to eat that are anti-inflammatory. I thought it was an added bonus that the book includes a full two week meal plan.
