About this ebook

"Starting today, I will formally become the king of this Kingdom of Friedonia."

Having returned from the Union of Eastern Nations and rested awhile, the ceremony that will turn Souma from a provisional king to the true king is rapidly approaching. Because Souma's marriage to his fiancées is to be held on the same day, the capital gets more lively than ever!

Meanwhile, using his own marriage as an impetus, Souma encourages his retainers to get married, too. Those who are already engaged to be married, those who aren't ready to be husband and wife yet, those who haven't even recognized their own love—Souma shows concern for all his retainers' different circumstances...

The revolutionary administrative fantasy series, volume ten!

A fun side story-ish Volume, centered around the preparation for the marriage, and the other characters' relationships as well. It's not particularly organic or believable, as with everything the story does, but it's still nice and satisfying to see. Hal's chapter and the bonus Queen Elisha chapter is the star of the volume here. The depiction of male and female role in the relationship is fairly balanced, between pre-modern roles but with a good amount of modern sensibilities - it's still fairly idealistic and convenient as usual with the series, but it doesn't leave a bad taste in my mouth and I can still buy the depiction here. We're pretty much entering the "Three Kingdoms" period proper after this, so this is a nice lighthearted chapter to deal with all of the lingering romantic tensions and issues. While I prefer Mushoku Tensei's still, by no means is this one bad and this is still miles ahead than old school harem like DxD. Good volume overall.

The story is unlike any isekai genre where the main character is overpowering everyone else. In fact, he is so ordinary in many ways. This is what makes this book interesting. Oh, and, there are sure a lot of references to Machiavelli's words in earlier volumes.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think that the 26 pages is either the amount translated so far, or it's just a placeholder number until the actual books comes out. After all, no one would buy a light novel with only 26 pages.
