This Omnibus Edition was excellent. These first two books we're full of Adventure. I had held off on this series preferring the big science fiction Space Battles of his other series. Folks who don't enjoy violence in their books should probably stick is there Jane Austen. David Drake is not Shakespeare. But when he writes military science fiction, he could definitely shake that hand without lowering his eyes. The series is Sweeping in its ambition. It could have been silly instead it's just great.

About the author

Vietnam veteran, former lawyer, former bus driver, and now bestselling author, David Drake tells a military story like no other.
