About this ebook

"Phoebe is a remarkably real little girl, as bright and imaginative as Bill Watterson's Calvin, as touchingly vulnerable as Charles Schulz's Charlie Brown...Simpson is that good, and that original." —Peter S. Beagle, author of The Last Unicorn

It all started when a girl named Phoebe skipped a rock across a pond and accidentally hit a unicorn in the face. Improbably, this led to Phoebe being granted one wish, and she used it to make the unicorn, Marigold Heavenly Nostrils, her obligational best friend. But can a vain mythical beast and a nine-year-old daydreamer really forge a connection? Indeed they can, and that's how Phoebe and Her Unicorn unfolds. Over time, Phoebe and Marigold acknowledge that they had been lonely before they met and come to truly appreciate the bond they now share.

I enjoy these books but it has a few flaws i would like to point out!:it contanes gross language such as stupid, freak, butt, dumb and more!as for marigold, she IS quite vain!but i thought unicorns would be more mujustic, regal, and eligant, but it realy isn't that true!if you thought they didn't sound so good now then whait untill you hear this!you see,on unicorn on the roll pheobe meets other unicorns and finds out that they aren't as asome as they seem!...as for the rest it is good, but it could have been better if it didn't have so much junk language...you see, in i think razzle dazzle unicorn phoebe said"aw. i don't want to rule the dumb world!".it is an isult of GODS creations as well as other things!as a christan,i have the right to tell you this!p.s. Please don't sue me.i'm a ten year old after all!

Hilarious and similar in comedy to calvin and hobbes! fun read for kids 7&up! No big words, or deep wagon-ride thinking though.

About the author

Dana Claire Simpson grew up in Gig Harbor, Washington, drawing the entire time. She eventually graduated from the Evergreen State College, despite having spent all her time drawing, and not always for credit.

Attempts at doing real work along the way are hardly worth mentioning; the relevant fact is that, from 1998 to 2008, she drew the internet comic strip Ozy and Millie. After winning the Amazon-sponsored Comic Strip Superstar contest in 2009, Universal Uclick signed her to a development deal for Heavenly Nostrils.

She currently lives in the Seattle area with her tech genius husband and her fairly stupid cat.
