The '87 JLA revamp was overrated. It was done by great creators. It was funny at times. Guy Gardner, Booster Gold and Blue Beetle were not JLA material. And superhero comics turned comical are not what most audiences want. Luckily, it all petered out. I do miss the original, true Beetle.
