A 3.5 stars read. As you know by now, I read almost everything Dale Mayer wrote, so I'm super excited with this new series and it's a paranormal suspense series, oh yesss I'm ecstatic. This about Terk's team, if you follow many Dale Mayer series, Terk is a familiar name, his name and psychic abilities always mentioned here and there. This new series is about Terk's team and his team is in deep trouble. With the bulk of his team down, Terk tries to establish a new base, while struggling to heal the team through the special connection each has. The first book of a series always like a long prologue for me with the introductions, the scope of the story, the reason why and the goal of the series, so there are so many repetitions and some parts kinda confusing, but once I get to passed it, I really enjoyed it, especially the action, the energy works and all the psychic stuff. As for characters, Dale Mayer always wrote loveable characters and this one is not an exception. I already love Terk from the other series and even though this book is about Damon and Tasha, I think Terk still took the center stage. Still love Damon and Tasha though, love their banter it's cute and sweet. Good fast-paced paranormal suspense story with loveable characters, yup I like it.

An action packed read with psychic abilities added in, makes an exciting novel even better. Damon, Terk, and Tasha are trying to find out who is responsible for the attack on the team. Figuring out who they can trust is making this an even harder task. I really enjoy reading novels by this author, and this one was another winner. I can't wait to see what happens in the next one. Well deserving of 5 stars.

Great start to another team's adventures. Terk's team worked for the government. His people used their special powers to accomplish much needed tasks. However the government has closed this black op department and now the members of this team are being attacked physically and are losing their powers as well. Also someone has sent a woman, who Terk doesn't know, to Levi and Ice's compound. This woman is wearing a C-4 vest and apparently pregnant with Terk's baby. Merk, who works for Levi, is Terk's identical twin except for the special powers. Merk joins in the quest to keep his brother and his team safe. He also wants to find who is responsible for the attack on his brother's team. An intriguing story captivating my attention. The epilogue talks of this story continuing and I'm ready for more of this new adventure with these very likable characters.
