Lisa Swerling is a South African British artist, author, and illustrator best known for her Glass Cathedral dioramas. Swerling is a New York Times bestselling author along with her husband, Ralph Lazar, for their book Me Without You, which they wrote together. She is the creator of several successful cartoons, including Happiness Is, Harold's Planet, Vimrod, and the Brainwaves series.

Ralph Lazar was a strategist at Goldman Sachs with a degree from the London School of Economics before becoming an artist, author, and illustrator along with his wife and cocreator Lisa Swerling. Together they have created several successful cartoons for children and sold illustrated greeting cards by the millions. Their book Me Without You was a 2015 New York Times bestseller.
