“Left and Right” is a children’s book written from a
different perspective, with an emphasis on motivating parents and
parents to be to accept that they are their child’s first teacher,
and need to be prepared to teach. “Left and Right” offers insight
on how to engage and teach young children. “Left and Right”
provides a basic template that enriches the learning experience for
both the Teacher and the Student.
Dealing with basic learning, spatial awareness, critical thinking,
traffic safety, color distinction, and the social graces, “Left and
Right,” as a guide for the First Teacher, is a valuable aid.
DJ Gatta, JD grew up in Asbury Park, Monmouth County, New Jersey.
He received his BA from Monmouth College (now Monmouth University), in West Long Branch, New Jersey. He received his Juris Doctor at Suffolk University Law, in Boston, Massachusetts.
Doug has practiced in Monmouth County for over forty years. He engaged in a varied suburban practice handling Adoptions, Arbitrations, Business, Commitments, Corporations, Criminal, Family Law, Litigation (Personal Injury, Medical Malpractice), Mediations, Real Estate (Residential and Commercial), Wills and Estates, and Workers Compensation.
His education and professional experience is all about "Critical Thinking."
He learned that the road to the answers, was knowing the right questions.
It appears that traditional educators, working to improve the system, have recognized the value of critical thinking to mainstream education.
In addition to writing two other children's books (unpublished), with another in process, he has written numerous poems, short stories, essays, novellas and comments.
Doug has been a longtime advocate of the concept that our educational system needs a different perspective. His belief is that those teaching or guiding very young minds should have at least a Masters Degree and eventually certifications from survey courses in Pediatric Medicine and Pediatric Psychology, renewable every two years.
He currently resides in California.
