Die kleine Hexe Amanda war sehr traurig. Sie lebte allein in ihrem Hexenhaus mitten im Walde und fühlte sich sehr einsam. Sie hatte vergessen, wie lange sie schon dort wohnte. Sie wusste nur, dass es schon sehr lange her war, seit sie eingezogen war. An die Zeit vor ihrem Leben im Hexenhaus konnte sie sich gar nicht mehr erinnern.
Amanda war eine sehr liebe Hexe. Doch alle Menschen fürchteten sich vor ihr, weil sie eine lange Nase mit einer dicken Warze hatte. Amanda hatte schon oft versucht, sich die Warze einfach wegzuzaubern und sich die Nase zu verkleinern, doch obwohl sie viele Zaubertricks beherrschte, hatte sie das bisher noch nicht geschafft.
