About this ebook

Stranded on the exceptionally dangerous, and possibly haunted, Beach of the Broken Heart, Hiccup must face Ug the Uglithug and complete the Impossible Task--or die trying. Along the way, he'll have to battle Berserks, dodge Scarers, and save Fishlegs from being fed to the Beast, all while being hunted down by an old enemy with a dark secret about the mysterious Lost Throne. With Toothless by his side, and time to stage his rescue running out, what's a Hero to do?

My sisters read them and encouraged me to do the same. I never finnished the for several reasons. My parents got it from the library for us, but when they saw the illustrations and content the decided it was inappropriate for kids. And I think they where right, they usually are. I mean, all the adults are depicted as stupid idiots, Stoik and Bertha don't have enough brains between them to crack an egg! Gobber's is well.....let's not go there. Hiccup is the only one with a brain, other then maybe Camicazi, who has a dirty mouth, and goes about stealing men's shorts. Hiccup in the books reminds me of the here say of the Wimpy Kid diaries. In contrast, in the books, all of the characters are intelligent, in her own way. Hiccup is different, but he's not the only smart one. The movie left a great impact one, it thought me that being different, following your dreams, and doing things differently, is okay. And Astrid, while she's not Cami, she's better, she's got the tough side down pat, but she's also supportive and sympathetic, and she has a Much. Cleaner. Mouth. And come on there's the best part of course, THEY RIDE DRAGONS!!!!! HOW CAN YOU ARGUE WITH THAT!!!!! So yes, I would say that this isn't a great book for kids, despite the fact it was written for them. It seems like more of a teenagers book. Please do not hate me,this is just my opinion.
