About this ebook

Anna Karenina was the next major novel of Tolstoy after his War and Peace. "In order for a work to be good, one must love its main basic idea. In Anna Karenina I love the family idea while in War and Peace I loved the national idea," Tolstoy said once to his wife.

I read this in high school and again in college and just now completed my third reading. Each time I am overwhelmed with emotions and at the same time feel I am attaining another level of meaning.

I anticipated this read for so long whilst I engulfed myself in Non-Fiction Discovery books for years. Loved it with a renewed passion for more. I will read again.
