This Book is about massively multi-player online role playing games. that being said, people who know nothing about those types of things can still get something out of it, while people who play these types of games a lot can still appreciate this book without feeling like Doctrow oversimplifies things. i thoroughly enjoyed this book and learned a lot about the real-world economy of these games among other things.

This book hits a lot of fascinating topics, and the author does a wonderful job explaining some complicated subjects in a way anyone should be able to understand.

was a very fun book. as an old school wow player back in the day, it was great reference to a portion of the games I had never considered. highly recommend.

Cory Doctorow (craphound.com) is a science fiction author, activist and journalist. He is the author of many books, most recently THE LOST CAUSE, a solarpunk science fiction novel of hope amidst the climate emergency. His most recent nonfiction book is THE INTERNET CON: HOW TO SEIZE THE MEANS OF COMPUTATION, a Big Tech disassembly manual.
