The New York Times bestselling conclusion to the groundbreaking, Hugo Award-winning series from China's most beloved science fiction author, Cixin Liu.

Half a century after the Doomsday Battle, the uneasy balance of Dark Forest Deterrence keeps the Trisolaran invaders at bay. Earth enjoys unprecedented prosperity due to the infusion of Trisolaran knowledge. With human science advancing daily and the Trisolarans adopting Earth culture, it seems that the two civilizations will soon be able to co-exist peacefully as equals without the terrible threat of mutually assured annihilation. But the peace has also made humanity complacent.

Cheng Xin, an aerospace engineer from the early twenty-first century, awakens from hibernation in this new age. She brings with her knowledge of a long-forgotten program dating from the beginning of the Trisolar Crisis, and her very presence may upset the delicate balance between two worlds. Will humanity reach for the stars or die in its cradle?

The final novel of the Remembrance of Earth's Past trilogy. If you've read the The Three Body Problem and The Dark Forest, this is more of the same, although I would say this goes even further dawn the quantum physics rabbit hole.

I rarely write reviews. this book deserves one. This series is a master piece of thought provoking unbridled creativity. It succeeds in doing so while still branching out from real science. I highly recommend this series and this book in particular. the author fully extrapolates what a world looks like when there are no consequences for actions on a cosmic level. This is a mackovalian world without an owner. Morality in Liu's world is a fatal delusion, a criminal unforgivable indulgence

I didn't buy this yet but I'd read this Chinese version of it.So this comment has nothing with the plot, just about the translation. I have to say that it isn't the translation I wanted. Some of the plot may lead to misunderstanding. Ex.“不属于现在,不属于过去,不属于未来”At「Excerpt from the Preface to A Past Outside of Time」2nd para I understood the situation,it's very hard ot translate this book. And I recommend those who really loves the book try to have Chinese and translate it word by word using translators.
