I read the translated online version of this, which I believe was basically ripped one for one to the official light novel version. Probably a different translation, but the same source material. It felt like it started pretty stock standard, no new ground really being broken, but it was a well written rendition of what it was trying to do. And then the real story started to kick in. Absolutely phenomenal, worth a read if you're into power fantasy stories. But if you don't care for stories like that, this won't be for you.

This was a great read. I really enjoyed the story line plus there wasn't any error in it that stood out to me. The author didn't go crazy over details like some others do. They ended the book in just the right way that you want to read the next book.

so the saying don't judge a book by its cover definitely applies here. it is an excellent book! it's still long some more lines of a normal fantasy book and it's really hard to put the book down once you start. definitely worth a read!
