Trying the well known classics. The art style while retro looking has a fun bright bold color scheme. None of the drab muted stuff of DK, TLH or Year One. I found this a frustrating read. So Batman chooses dumb, because plot needs to happen I suppose? The worlds greatest Detective knows he is being set up and by whom. The big bad chooses the route of a massive wimp and extreme coward really. Whch makes all for a very anti-climatic ending.

I'm sorry but this run was awful. Bane wasn't much cop in his origin story let alone this epic. Norm deserved better scripts. Get an earlier run from Alan grant

This 25th anniversary version is truly magnificent! The plot's so breathtakingly great feels as if we readers taken straight inside the cowl of Batman, being tested to the very limit by Bane. The artwork is classically excellent. Definitely one of many Batman's awesome tales. And also one of my favorite of all-time.
